Argus News reported "Mr Joseph Jacques a builder
was driving in a trap on the 12th inst
when his horse was startled by the music of a band
and the trap was overturned.
Mr Jacques sustained concussion of the brain from which he died on Friday."
His death was also reported in the Police Gazette under "Inquests"
It says he was thrown from the trap on the 12th,
died on the 18th and the inquest was on the 18th
