Jacques and Webb

Richard JACQUES married Harriet WEBB

28 August 1828 in Chippenham Wiltshire

The marriage was witnessed by Wm STEVENS & Sarah DOLMAN.

Harriet was the daughter of George WEBB and Jermimima FENNELL

and she was baptised in Bronham, Wilts on 7 January 1807

In the parish register, the names of the parents for the first 2 children are recorded as Richard and Harriet. For the remaining children the names are Richard and Hannah. As there is no further marriage for Richard, the assumption is that it is just the name that has changed. In the 1841 census Richard appears as a labourer, but by 1851 he is recorded as a "Greenwich Pensioner".

The children were all baptised in Chippenham
